They will usually fall somewhere between the loads of lead and jacketed. 4.0 grains would be the low side (likely near 800fps) depending on your OAL and primer choice. If you follow the loads for lead you can work your way up and be safe.

I have lots of data, but it's all Titegroup and Clays.

OAL makes a HUGE difference in pressure for the .40 so be aware of that.

There are wide variations in load data.

    http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp

Hodgdon is showing 4.1 as a starter and 5.0 as max for the 180 XTP. Plated bullets should be .1-.2 lower in terms of the usual data.

Make sure you check the OAL for data. You'll notice guys on the Enos forum are running 1.190 or so on the OAL. Those are in 2011 guns that are throated long. I run 1.4 grains over the max published load in mine and I'm not getting pressure signs (pushing 125gr bullets to 1400 fps). Seating those loads to normal depth in my Glock would have VERY bad results in terms of safety.

So...that being said, I'd probably start at 4.8gr depending on the gun. Unsupported chambers make me work up a bit slower.

What do you intend to do? General plinking? Competition?
