WV May Teach Safe Gun Handeling in School
According to this AP story, West Virgina may start offering courses on the safe handling of firearms in schools.
I'm all for it, as long as it is not taught by an anti. I also think that by the end of the program, they should fire 22LR rifles, not just use dummy rounds.

Good for them. Its about time someone has the balls to teach the kid the right way instead of the "gang way"or learn by watching all the bullshit on tv.I remember when high schools had rifle teams for christ's sake. I have a neighbor who remembers carrying his rifle on the friggin trolley. Could you imagine that!!

All middle or high schools should have basic firearms safety courses IMO. At the very least, they would prevent some accidental shootings.

Re: WV May Teach Safe Gun Handeling in School
I'd like to see more of this in schools. There should be more life skills taught in high schools and less philosophical theoretical classes. There are men and women who are in their late teens and early 20s that dont know how to control and shoot a firearm, change a tire on their car, pump gas, do CPR etc etc. This is definitely a step in the right direction.
