    Default Out of state transactions.

Hello to all.I'm a new member from the Socialist State of NJ.
I have a question about buying/selling in Pa.
I bought a rifle at a show in Pa recently from an FFL.He did NICS and I took it home.
I believe I can bring a rifle to a show and sell but only to an FFL,is that correct?
I'd call the NJSP in Trenton but every time I call I get usless information.I really would hate to get stopped with any of my firearms for fear of getting
    fitted for stainless steel bracelets.
One totally rediculous law we have is that I have to get NICS checked buying from a store or manufacturer. On a FTF with an FID card holder all that's needed is a certificate of eligbility. So much for consistency.
Thanks for any answes to my question.

All interstate transfers must go through a FFL.

You can sell to a private person of another state, but long guns must go through a FFL in ANY state. Handguns must go through a FFL in the buyer's home state.

    Do you have an NJFPID?

Are you taking the rifle for sale to an NJ show or elsewhere?

The reason for your NICS check is that its Federal law for all purchases by non-licensees from an FFL.

I do have an FID card.If I sell to another NJFID all that's required is a certificate of elgibility.

So if I take a long gun to a Pa show and sell to another buyer we have to have an FFL at the show to do the transfer.

    Thanks for the replys.

And I suppose next you're going to tell us that you don't have "Gun Bashes" at your local volunteer fire companies to help raise money for them?

How do you people in New Jersey survive?

With the FID card you shouldn't have any problems transporting an unloaded longarm to/from Pa; not so with handguns.

FTF transactions , if allowed by state laws, must be between residents of the same state while in their state.

In your case you go through an FFL to buy/sell longarms in Pa.
