    Default 1903 trigger upgrade

I'm playing around with a Springfield 1903 and was thinking of a upgrading the trigger? What are your opinions on this guy here?

Any knowledge or opinions? Would it need much modification or would it just "drop in"?

Timney's been making triggers for a LONG time. They kinda dropped the ball for a few years , but their products the last several years have greatly improved. That unit is drop in and anyone with basic hand skills that can read should have no trouble installing it.

If you get it, report back with how you like it. I'm not crazy about my 1903 trigger but I like everything else about it, so I would be interested in this.

Well I think I'll get it. Other than ammo there is nothing else I need so I guess I'll put these gift cards to good use.

Now the math. Is shipping cheaper and order online or the gas to drive out there?

Danish saw that. Well if it is out if stock shipping from the warehouse, maybe they will have one in store. I'm a dreamer.

FYI you need to start using COUPON CODES for online purchases. You can usually find FREE SHIPPING ones and also can find 5% off, etc... ones as well. You enter them into the checkout process under either PROMOTION CODE or COUPON CODE on Cabelas website.

Also from what I read Timney triggers are amazing upgrades. I purchased one for my Mosin Nagant, but have yet to have it installed. So I cannot speak to you on it's greatness but the reviews can do that.

I'm pretty good on using coupon codes. I'll wait until it is in stock online. I got set back. I found out I need a new handguard. I'm at about $250 more to finish this thing. Rear sight collar, handguard, band kit, the trigger is "free" because of gift cards.

I may need to use a gunsmith to install the sight collar. That seems above my abilities.

Took the ride yesterday. The trigger is an online only item so almost a wasted trip.

On the cool factor, they had NRA sign ups at the entrance. $35 for a year and I got a free $25 cabelas gift card. So not a total wasted trip. The wife and I both signed up and both got gift cards.

So are you gonna order it? I'm eagerly waiting for a range report...
