Re: BHTC Kalashnikov Rifle Course
Really looking forward to the class. I just have a few other basic questions.
1. I have 3 30 round mags and 2 20 round mags. Is that ok, or should I get at least another 30?
2. A friend who is attending has a 75 round drum. Should he leave that at home?
3. I have irons and a red dot. Should I leave the dot at home?
Thanks for putting this class together. I am hoping to learn a lot.

Re: BHTC Kalashnikov Rifle Course
All good questions.
The course is full as of right now, with two alternates on deck. We will be running the course again. I was surprised but happy to see there is some demand for it. These are great rifles.
You will probably be fine with 3 30's and 2 20's. I would recommend you get more 30's though. If only for the reason that they provide a larger grab area when you want to handle them aggressively.
The drum won't be useful.
The red dot is fine, and can be a good addition to a Kalashnikov. I will probably have a gun there myself with one just to show some options.

Re: BHTC Kalashnikov Rifle Course
I've been looking forward to the class. I gave my rifle to a gunsmith friend of mine to cut off the scope rail. Will have it back tomorrow in time for class.

Re: BHTC Kalashnikov Rifle Course
I just threw my bag together. Well, bag and box. 2 empties and 15 or so loaded. I could have sworn someone said something like "bring more shoot more". I prefer to shoot more! lol
I just need to load up the pistol yet...I'm getting it all around tonight because I'll be driving 100 miles one way there. The night before just won't cut it.

BTW Fargo, it's not on the list but would a notepad be useful or will we not have a chance to use it?

Re: BHTC Kalashnikov Rifle Course
good shootin, guys. lots of fun
i'd have to say my favorite part was the pistol transitions, but then again i'm probably biased because i cheated and used an AR.
still good fun though.
