Best places around Bucks county area to hunt?

Anybody know the best places around Bucks county (or maybe within an hour) to deer hunt for next year?

My husband usually takes a week trip with some friends to go to the center of the state...but the last two years he hasn't had that much luck so he thought he'd save some money and stay closer to home and go more often...and also maybe take our oldest son, who will be 12 this summer, as well.

I can't believe how short hunting season is around here......just sayin. haha. I guess its because of the high population of hunters in the area.....?

Best bet is to do your own research.

Why would anyone do their research and then tell you about property that is hard to find and is great to hunt?

Well, you only have about 4-5 SGL's(state game lands) to choose from. If you want my advice check out sgl 139. He could try Nockamixen, but their will be a lot of people there for sure! Best thing to do is old ole fashin door knocking. Tell him to take your son too. Some people might feel better that it's a father son team rather than some one lone ranger.

That's a good idea....as long as people around here aren't the kind that come to their door with a rifle. haha.

This link is to all the SGL's in SE Pa. If you put the SGL number in and click it will show you a map of the area. I just mention 139 cause I hunt close to it. I can hear the shoots from it on the private land I hunt. Their are a good amount of deer around. Though currently it is late season and the deer are super spooky. Good luck.
