Default Where to find cheap .45 mags?

Does anyone know where I can find some cheap GI .45 mags? I'd like to get a few extra for my PT1911. Just the plain old flat bottom mags...no extra round extensions or rubber bumpers. Just plain old G.I.

But CTD is out of stock.

While I can understand your desire to find inexpensive magazines for your 1911, I highly recommend that you opt for a better quality magazine. I've had the bottom plate separate from these inexpensive "Mil-Spec" magazines, and it's really embarrasing to have all your rounds dump out of the bottom of your pistol when you're shooting in a competition.

I switched over to Chip McCormick Shooting Star magazines for my 1911's, and they have been working extremely well for me. You can usually pick them up from Midway USA for a decent price.

^^^^^ Exactly what he said^^^^ the CTD cheapies are OK for the range but don't get them mixed up. Your life depends on these things running flawlessly. The ones I got from CTD were prone to jams and I got frustrated and got rid of all of them. I carry with 3 ss Chip McCormack shooting stars(8 rounders) and have 7 or 8 (7 round) promags that work great in the bug out bag

^^^ THIS. Do not waste your $$$ on the pseudo-GI 1911 mags found "in the wrapper" at gun shows. Spend the little extra $ and go with McCormick Shooting Stars.

I have 4 out 8 that I bought at a Gun show years ago that still work well some need some work but eventually failed the other 4 just keep working and working.
I paid $5 bucks for each one sometimes you can get lucky, these are welded at the seam and bottom, the ones that wasn't literally fell apart.

At the last Oaks show I got three in the wrapper for $12 from a vendor. Like others have said, not for my carry setup but they are plenty fine for the range. Haven't had any jamming or feeding issues in 500 rounds.

I've spent many hours trying to make cheap mags work...in the end I should have just ponied up for quality.

    "In military wrap"

HOW many years has it been since the M1911A1 was replaced by the M9 Beretta? Just how many spare magazines do you think the U.S. goverment had for the M1911A1? These so-called "military surplus" magazines are on sale at 3 for $10 at every gun show in the country, every weekend, and have been for at least twenty years.

    THEY ARE FAKE.
