Have you had the chance to check the pins for unifomity and fit?

Where the holes in the frame for the thumb safety, hammer and sear properly shaped and not egged out or off center?

Any machine marks in the mag well or inside the slide?

I'm curious and at that price I may re think the RIA Tatical.
    gotta love her ;)

There are some machining marks inside the slide-does not affect function . This pistol is almost as tight as the custom fusion I just finished building before Christmas. As the build progresses we will add pics ot the bobtailing and upgrades and refinishing. Here are the before pics

    Thanks for the reply

Looks like a GI spec pistol, just an extended thumb safety.

Do you plan on milling a dovetail for the front sight, or are you going the stake and silver solder route?

    Can't wait for more pics

On this build since it is a low budget build I am using 70 series upgraded white dot sights. If I used novak sights and added for milling I would be putting this build up into the $850 to $900 range, trying to maintain a budget of about $650 to $700 including the cost of the pistol. Now if I was shooting for I nice midrange pistol than I would certainly go for the novak sights and a couple of other items. Brian /EFR

I forgot the target pic, yesterday was very busy and got further complicated by my youngest son, he had a moment of stupidity and slammed a car door on his thumb smashing it and needed bit of medical care. Now he will miss the first couple of weeks at ski club, starts tonight this loss and mine ,I can't get any refund on the weeks he will miss. Anyhow here's the target pic and I have to get back to work on sks stocks finishing 2 4 color camo jobs on 2 stocks.

P.S. I don't know how to turn that pic up have to have my son do that later, all shooting done 2 hands standing at ten yards 14 degrees F yesterday morning at EFGA outdoor range.

Didn't happen to come to Lehigh Valley CC ER did you? I never get cool patients to BS with : ). I would still send your son to ski club, if its anything like it was when I was in HS we spent more time in the lodge talking to girls than on the slopes anyway.

By any chance, is there a commander model or only Gov on cdnn? I can't look myself from work. PAFOA is the only website the firewall doesn't flag on my breaks for some reason.
