Is it okay to practice at home drawing and shooting an empty gun, or is that a bad habit and practice should only be at a range, even if the gun is unloaded? Where and when do you guys practice drawing?

I'm fully aware that the topic has been discussed before. The video as far as I'm aware hasn't. My post was to be a reminder to the complacent.

The fact that I have to point this out reminds me of the atmosphere that was here when I first joined the forum. Back then you'd see "NOT THIS SHIT AGAIN?" posted steady by those who sat on their high horses reluctant to help out the newbie. I dont own a horse so keep on clickin on the video .

I practice drawing at home with a blue gun. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with drawing at home with snap caps or an empty magwell and chamber. I'm sure none of us get to the range to practice as much as we like.

I practice drawing and firing using a LaserLyte training laser (fits inside the barrel and shows where the shot would have hit). I use snap caps my rule is that there is NO AMMO IN THE ROOM.
