Price check on a GP-100?
Hi,
Sorry to bother you ladies and gents with a trivial question like this, but what's a fair asking price on a gently used excellent condition Stainless 4" Ruger GP-100 with adjustable sights these days? I've got one I'm thinking about selling or trading for a more concealable gun and don't want to over or under price it.

Its no bother at all. Talking about guns is what this forum is all about. I would expect to pay no more than 400 for a used GP 100. If you know the gun is in perfect condition with low round count throw it up at 450 but be prepared to wait for a buyer to come along. If you want it sold fast Id say 360. Good luck.

If it is like new , with box and papers, I would say $425-$450. A new one will cost you at least $550-$575 OTD

Looks like $375 at 98% in the Blue Book.

Check around on Gun broker and see what they are going for. Not what seller's are asking but what they actually sold for.
Good luck selling it........Tim , USAF Ret.

Re: Price check on a GP-100?
This is the problem with trying to price according to opinions across the state.
A local dealer just had 1 in his case, Stnls NIB 4" w/adj sights for $469.
Ace has a ex. cond 6" listed for $475
If I were looking at a used one, knowing what I could get a new one for, I'd say $375 is more like it around here if the seller wanted a quick sale, $400 if he was willing to wait.
Listing on the net you can hope for a local buyer but when shipping starts becoming involved, pricing it at the higher end of the spectrum might price it out of some peoples range when shipping is added.

Re: Price check on a GP-100?
Yeah, the shipping costs and FFL transfer fees start to cut into what I want to get out of a gun pretty quickly. I've sold a few online before and don't really want to ship any more if I don't have to so I'd probably prefer to keep it local.
