Default Talk me out of buying a S&W Model 438.

I got it into my head that I want a S&W Model 438 as a primary carry gun as it's smaller, lighter, and easier to conceal than my Taurus PT745.

What are the reasons I shouldn't buy this?
It's an .88 Magnum. It shoots through schools.

I have a PT745c and a S&W 442. Both are used for CC, which mostly depends on what I am wearing.
    I like both.

Hi ! I have the 638 airweight - I LOVE IT. For the record, I have 2 Glocks (17 and 26) and a kel-tec P-32. The Kel-Tec gets the most pocket time, the 638 gets a lot of belt time, and the Glocks are for special occasions. The 638 is nice and light and easy enough to shoot well. I would imagine the 438 is similar. Oops... was I supposed to talk you out of it?

It has the internal lock.... Get a 442 without the lock.

5 rounds isn't enough, I don't care how fast you are with a speed loader.
The Army was the biggest mistake I've ever been proud to make.

I've only ever bought one S&W with the lock. The model 500 was interesting enough that I made an exception. S&W is going to have to come up with something a lot more unique than a five shot J frame before I buy another.
