Re: opionion need ruger p90 .45 acp
I have had the DC (decocker) version since they were first made. Built like a tank, will swallow anything including empty cases. Not a target gun but certainly better than Minute of Man at up to 20 yds. Dave_n

Reliable, but ugly and clunky.

Re: opionion need ruger p90 .45 acp
i have a p90 that i bought used but in excellent condition about 10 years ago and it's always been 100% reliable and just as accurate as my sig p220 and HK USP. i like the blocky look of the p90 and it's the best 250 dollars i ever spent on a firearm. the only downside is the single stack mags.

Re: opionion need ruger p90 .45 acp
they arent terrible pistols, as accurate as most average shooters will let them be and they are tough.
never owned one but a friend had one growing up and i put a couple hundred rounds through his. i would say its deff a gun you could have as an extra for people when you are plinking around the woods or something.yeah, i am not from PA nor have i ever been to PA....still love reading this forum.

Re: opionion need ruger p90 .45 acp
I bought the p90 in 1999 upon my return from service. still have it and consider it the most reliable .45 i own. extremely accurate as well. Dont understand the ugly clunky (definately not clunky at all and not ugly imo)comment but hey. You want a good gun that never has issues buy the p90. add some hogue grips too.

Re: opionion need ruger p90 .45 acp
Have an early decocker model. Has been utterly reliable with anything I feed it.
When field stripping be aware of orientation of recoil spring and be certain to place it properly on reassembly. Have personally never been fond of the initial two stage trigger pull. Although not enough of an annoyance to get me off my butt to do anything about it. Remember an early review on it in the "American Rifleman" where it was summed up by saying that "it looks like what it is."It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

I have a KP89 and I love it...built like a freakin tank. If you run out of bullets, you can use it as a club! Seriously, the P90 is a good gun!
