Heritage in Easton - Rifle Transfer Cost
I just called Heritage in Easton and the woman told me it was $75.00 to transfer a rifle plus the actual cost of shipping. Wow, I am either not aware of the current costs or this is NUTS! Last year, I did a transfer at another shop and it $25.00. Well, so much for giving the new shop some business off to my old haunts.

Havent gone yet and probably wont be in the future for reasons just like this.
Place sounds like a joke if ya ask me. My business will remain with other shops and ranges.Last edited by brownman; December 27th, 2011 at 06:35 PM.

Re: Heritage in Easton - Rifle Transfer Cost
I won a 30/30 from NYS. Went to John's, and it was $35. Walked to the shop, and walked home. Close is nice.

Re: Heritage in Easton - Rifle Transfer Cost
I ended up using Donley's in Quakertown, they were real fair (like last time) and so off it went. I ended up spending a few bucks on some goodies. Go figure....
So much for trying out Heritage.....

Re: Heritage in Easton - Rifle Transfer Cost
Heritage Guild is where everyone from NJ goes. The prices reflect that. I have not found ANYTHING for a good price there yet.
Find a local gunshop that you like and go there.Criminals LOVE gun control. It gives them a safe work enviroment.

Re: Heritage in Easton - Rifle Transfer Cost
Heritage strikes me as a place that people wearing 5.11s and swearing that Kimbers are the only true 1911s would frequent. The only reason its in Easton is that Pennsylvania is by far friendlier to firearms buyers, but its mainly to service the New Jersey crowd and the firearms-illiterate, IMO.
The prices on guns were high, the range might be nice but the price is outrageous for range time, and the showroom is a little too flashy.

Re: Heritage in Easton - Rifle Transfer Cost
They actually have a couple of places (one in NJ) and I was from NJ before I saw the Class 3 light! I never went to Ray's in NJ since I knew better.... always supported the little guys. I have dealt with the owner before and was shocked when the clerk told me $75 for a transfer. When I got my PTR through him it was $40! I guess we need to pay for the new place... no thanks! Back to the little guys!
