Re: Why the 1911 sucks.
Comparing modern Kimbers and Springfields to the original 1911 is disingenuous.
Find an old bone stock Remington Rand or Colt from the 40's, load it up with modern HP's and I bet you wouldn't consider it for a carry gun.
A $1200 Kimber that has been hand fitted and made with modern CNC machinery is not a 1911 as Browning designed, it is a modern updated copy that has changed with the times.
The 1911 in it's true form is outdated, antiquated and I doubt any of you would carry a bone stock 80 year old one either for self defense or competition.
I'm not a hater, just realistic and honest when it comes to the original design of the 1911, nobody wants the original except collectors and those that have to buy a Rock Island due to lack of funds.
Even a "GI" model from any current mfg has modern updates.

I would get a 1911, but I don't have an awesome mustache.

all you get is ridicule, laughter,

YOOO dont you start bashin the Rock islands, i love my Rock 1911, its more comfortable to carry, and shoot than my M&P, ive had 2 FTE's since i pulled it out of the box and that was in the first 200 rounds, im somewhere in the thousands now and no problems.
limp wristing is the operators fault, as well as the "how hard can it be" modifications that ruin the reliability
your old 1911's usually arent particularly reliable because theyre OLD and WORN OUT, replace the parts that wear down and you have a perfectly good 1911

Re: Why the 1911 sucks.
Only time will tell if you did indeed get the trolling out of your system.
If you wanted to have a discussion about issues that various 1911's have had in the past, that would have been one thing. Instead you made an (Innacurate) blanket statement about the viability of a firearm. This in itself discredits you.
I welcome thought-provoking debates. I despise trolls.
OASN: I do not own a 1911.

will that extra 15% matter? not as much as being able to put one in their face. ~Edg
