Favorite pistol cartridge? Mine is 9mm Luger.

Me too.

But you didn't specify "what for". I guess I shoot more 9mm than anything, but I shoot a bunch of the other stuff for different purposes, too. And that makes them "favorite" for that activity.

22 for Bullseye practice
380 ACP for SD practice
44MAG for long-distance (think 100-yd metallic silhouette)
357MAG for long distance fun (think Dr. Pepper cans)
38SPL for just plain 'cause-I-can, don't ask why.
40S&W for SD practice, and i want to shoot IDPA someday.
45ACP because Saint John made the 1911, and I must worship regularly at the shrine.

I've primarily shot 9mm Luger, and chose that caliber for my handgun. It fits my purposes, is cheap to shoot (relatively), so I guess that's my favorite. I do have to say that I've had the most fun with 45 ACP though.

I was limited to ten entries for the poll. Those of you that have a favorite caliber that's not listed such as .32 Auto, 10mm etc can just let us know in your post. I don't want anyone to feel left out, besides every caliber has it's awesome points.
