Flintlock Season Is Upon Us
I've got all my gear loaded up in my vehicle, and am ready to hit the woods again come morning. The weather looks to be excellent, so here's hoping that the deer decide to cooperate as well... the freezer could stand to have a bit more venison in it.
Who else is going to be out trying to get their deer the old fashioned smokepole way?"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

Loaded up some "speed" loaders. I will be heading out with some buddies at first light. Good luck.

Re: Flintlock Season Is Upon Us
I figure that I'll throw my gear together quickly here, then get to bed. It's supposed to be windy tomorrow so I'm not gonna hold my breath. Still, it'll be nice to get out for a while.
I gotta admit, the weather this season coulda been better.
Good luck tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll get to break in the new knife that the wife got me for Christmas.Sed ego sum homo indomitus

Re: Flintlock Season Is Upon Us
My TC has been giving me trouble lately. It has been stoping at half cock when you pull the trigger from full cock. I took apart the lock and found the problem. There is an L shaped plate inside with two screws on it that holds everything together. The screwed had backed out and things were out of place. I put things back they way they should be and everything is right as rain. Ill be heading out tomorrow. I had put the gun on the back burner until my wife asked why I didn't go out this morning... I completely forgot that flintlock started today. Oops

Re: Flintlock Season Is Upon Us
I went out for a bit. Only saw two deer, but they were far off. Hopefully I'll have better luck on Saturday.
