Lower Bucks County
Anyone know the closest good range for a decent price around the Lower Bucks county area? Looking for somewhere to go that also allows kids...we want to work on shooting handguns as well as work on our oldest son with a hunting rifle.

Re: Lower Bucks County
For indoor ranges, I definitely recommend Classic Pistol in Southampton. Friendly, knowledgeable folks, reasonable prices, and a full-service gun shop and range. Membership, though not required, is reasonably priced. They also rent lanes to non-members on a per-person, per hour.

Wicen's shooting range, a.k.a. The Farm. It's and outdoor range with designated 100 yrd rifle section. $15 per day per person (less for kids under 12) + one time fee of $7 per person for the orientation.
Je suis déplorable

Re: Lower Bucks County
Would definitely second the suggestion for Wicen's Farm. Awesome people, UBER Safety minded. Was a pleasure to shoot there. Friendliest atmosphere I've found near a shooting range in a long time.

Re: Lower Bucks County
I live in central NJ and my only choice is Ft Dix.Wicens range seems like it's worth the drive, since my daughter and my son in law and granddaughter live in Warminster.I have mostly military bolts. Are there any ammo restrictions
(steel case)?Their $15 per day per person seems very reasonable also.

Re: Lower Bucks County
your backstop is a mound of dirt, so i don't think the ammo matters.
Metz:
I haven't been there since the son and his wife (I'm very glad they kept the farm) took over. I've been meaning to get there for quit awhile.
Question: if I read the web site correctly it's
7 $ pistol (give you a card that's good for ever)
7$ rifle " "
7$ skeet " "
did I read it wrong?
Don't get me wrong, I have no problem paying/supporting a gun range. I just want to know
Thanks
OH another 1 for the farmIf You Need A Color In The Name Of Your Cause, You're The "RACIST" !

Re: Lower Bucks County
Correct -- it's $7 for each range safety badge. So if you went there for the first time, and wanted to shoot rifle, pistol, and shotgun that day, the cost would be $21 for the three badges, and $15 to shoot all day. The badges are a one-time purchase; after you have them, it's just $15 a day.
Another +1 for Wicen's -- it's a well-run facility with excellent ownership and RSOs.

Re: Lower Bucks County
Ok, Resurrecting a dead thread, but a correction is needed.
Wicen's is a $15 daily fee per shooter. Orientation tags are $7 per discipline.
So if you wanted to shoot Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun, the total cost would be $36.
If you only wanted to shoot Rifle. The total would be $22.
If you keep the range card that you are given on your first visit, you never have to pay those $7 fees again. So its $15 for the whole day from there onward so long as you retain that card.
Kids are $12 daily and $5 for each orientation tag. Minor's must be signed in by a guardian and they get added to that guardian's range card until they turn 18. When they do, they are not charged again for orientation. The M1. Smackin' the bastards since 1932.
