Pa. State Police handgun question
Afternoon Everyone
New guy from Georgia here. Just a quick introduction.
I was Born and raised in SE Pa and am currently living in the Atlanta area, Have been here for a little over 20 years because of employment and can't wait until I can retire and get back to Pa.
I read this forum because I find Pa. folks are down to earth and have common sense. But it is just now I joined because of a question I have.
I am also thinking of applying for my Pa. permit even though I can use my Ga. permit there. With the Pa it is a whole lot easer to drive to Pa since it is accepted in the states of travel other than SC (I think).
But anyway, here is my question.
What handguns have the PSP used in the past? And what years if anyone knows
I remember in my younger days I thought about applying for PSP and just always remember seeing them around with the revolvers and cars with the red bubble gun machine on top. I left Pa in 1982.
Thanks
I have been looking for this infor just so I quit thinking about itLast edited by yankee@heart; January 3rd, 2010 at 02:11 PM.

Re: Pa. State Police handgun question
I have a couple friends who are Troopers. The last 10yrs or so have seen Beretta 96D with Robar NP3 finish, followed by the Beretta 96D Brigadier model with black Bruniton finish. Both are .40s&w caliber pistols. Most recent they went to Glocks in .45gap, Model 37 from what I've seen. Aside from these, I'm not sure what revolvers they may have used back in the day.
