    Question Para USA Front site

just got my Para P14-45 with a front optical sight. It must be b/c I am color blind but the front optical sight might as well not be there. I have another pistol with an optical front sight and it stands out, there is not doubt where it is, this one doesn't. Has any asked Para to swap one out? I sent an email the other day but no response.

By optical do you mean fiber optic?

If you are red/green color blind and the fiber is red, there is a good chance you will not see it at all. Even with the green blindness, the green colors tend to stand out better than the red.

As far as the customer service, I can't comment. I have had my P-14/45 for nearly 20 years and have not had a single problem with it. Part of the reason is that EGW tuned it up correctly after I bought it, but I digress.

Yes I meant fiber optic. I've been around the other half too long...B&W, up and down, left and right etc...are all interchangeable.

I stumbled upon the company who apparently supplies Para with the front sights, it will cost me $4.99 plus S&H to replace the fiber rod.

And you are right, I can just barely see the red dot.

    Thanks
