    Default Dan Wesson 44 question

Any Dan Wesson 44 members out there? I have a question. I like the revolver but hate the factory wooden grip. I got a pachmyr grip for it but that grip is just huge/oversized.

Anyone know of another grip maker out there?

I have a few small frame DW wheel guns. I prefer the factory combat grip with the finger grooves. Check out gunbroker for a bunch of grips or head over to the DW forums. Those guys are really great overthere.

Hogue makes a nice one, if you like synthetic and finger grooves. Under $20.
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

456 - Doesn't Hogue make a grip for the DWA 44 mag. A buddy had one man that is a hand cannon and it so big that it doesn't beat you up like the S&W 29s. When I was shooting 44mag I opted for the Ruger Super Black hawk that baby rocked in your hand but it absorbed recoil really well not quite as well as my buddy's 8" heavy vented barrel DWA 44, hot 44 mag felt like 357mag. 44 spl felt like 35spl in a K frame. The pachmyr grips fit our hands well, we have big hands.

I'd like to have one of those.

Hogue does make one. Mine came with the Hogue and the wood grip. The wood came on it and I threw the Hogue on just to see how it felt. I have never taken it off, and I am pretty sure I lost it.
