Welcome to the forums. Glad to see someone else out there huntin' 'hogs with a NEF .204. Mine has a wood stock. Have you started reloading for it yet?

*EDIT* - my thoughts: the .204 is an excellent round, 32gr V-max bullets at close to 4000 fps are quite explosive on groundhogs, I love mine.

Welcome aboard. I love to take out my .223 and do some chuck hunting. The only down side is living in NEPA. There aren't many places to go and find the critters. So far I've only bagged one down the the Delaware water gap. But man was it a big hog.

Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

    Default NICE CHUCK ROVERT97

    Damn nice Chuck:

Being retired, I can put more time into hunting Chucks. If the approach is right with the Farmer i.e, Give him a Resume about yourself and your esperience, also your address, phone # and email address.

I try to secure the Farmers' name and I always start my address by uisng Mr. or Ms.---Introducion to my firearm is important. If he / she wants me to drop down a few octaves with the BOOM. I can. Where are your property lines ??? Parking is essential ; "where is it OK to park my truck ????" ---- Disposal of the Chucks. Ask the farmer 'where can I dispose, but have an option yourself for disposal'.

After about a year, if you follow his / her rules, your name will get around and the telephone may ring. Another Dairyman ; "Can you help me out ????". That is the reason I now rotate 6 dairyfarms hunting the Back Pasture Grizzly. One farm I hunt, I can shoot up to 500yds with an excellent backstop. That is why I am moving up to a .204 --- Guess what ? The dairyman can't wait to shoot it ! ! !

All of the above has worked for me and at Christmas I may put a Christmas Card in the mailbox and a $10 gift certificate for Lowes, Tractor Supply, etc. These people work hard and always need tools or hardware.

Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.
