Re: Revitalization of the PMSC Group Shoot
My thinking is this:
1: Saturday gives the people that are setting up and taking down everything a day to rest and relax before working on Monday
2: It might be easier for people from out of town to get in on Friday, shoot Saturday, head home on Sunday
3: It will give the CMP people at PMSC a chance to join the shoots instead of having to decide whether to shoot CMP or go to the group shoot.
4: PMSC has trap practice from 1pm-5pm. Maybe the trap people would like to come early and go to the shoot or maybe the trap people would allow some of the group shoot people to stay and shoot with them.
There are a lot of other things too, but those were my main reasons for suggesting it.

Re: Revitalization of the PMSC Group Shoot
I didn't know the group shoots stopped. When and why did that happen? They were a lot of fun. Just didn't have time to make too many.

Re: Revitalization of the PMSC Group Shoot
People didn't feel safe. You know, with citizens having guns.
What it comes down to, is the same people were doing everything, while others just didn't help take some of the load. I'll admit, i only ever brought donuts. But the 2 hour drive to grace you all with my smiling face made up for it lolI'm so fast, I can bump fire a bolt action.

Re: Revitalization of the PMSC Group Shoot
Yeah, I would bring food and show up early to help sling steel but have no idea how to set up the shoot house or design a stage or RO.

Re: Revitalization of the PMSC Group Shoot
Baby steps.
Anyone recall the first group shoot? No shoot houses, no steel, just a group of people shooting downrange.
Even I could figure out THAT "setup".
Food and good people with guns are the two things that have been a constant since day one. The rest evolved from there.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!
