Sig/Mauser M2-45
Picked up this slightly used Mauser 45 at my LGD. Sig bought the rights to the Mauser name.
Always wanted a 45 but never wanted one the size of a 1911. This compact Glock 19 sized 45 was way fun at the range. The DAO trigger had a medium but short pull.
The grips are thick but just fine for my hand. Totally reliable and very accurate.Last edited by group17; February 3rd, 2012 at 02:20 PM.

I like-ee. Never seen one before. When were they being produced, are they still. Are there other calibers available or they just make 45s?
It reminds me of the Sig 2022 or 2009.and to the dust you shall return

Re: Sig/Mauser M2-45
Comes in 40, 357 besides 45.
Sig stopped making them around 2005.
They have a rotating barrel like the Beretta PX4. Weigh about 2lbs being all alloy.

Re: Sig/Mauser M2-45
the M2's are great guns but for some reason they never gained any popularity so sig discontinued importing them. i think the weight and thickness of the slide probably contributed to the M2's demise. i had two, sold one and kept one. they are very accurate and mine has been 100% reliable.

Re: Sig/Mauser M2-45
Yeah, the profile and controls make it look like a cross b/w a PX4 and a Browning BDM...
I always wondered about these - I remember a couple years back, CDNN was selling complete slides in .45 ACP for something like $40 or $50 and thinking "WTF?"
What's the capacity? Is that a manual safety only, or a decock/safety, or just a decock? Or is it striker-fired w/ a manual safety?

Nice find. I've always liked the looks of them, let us know how it does at the range!

Re: Sig/Mauser M2-45
Already did "Totally reliable and very accurate."
I went through a box of American eagle. Holds 8 rounds. Striker-fired w/ a manual safety.
Wish I could find a replacement slide for $50... Numrich has parts but slides are $300. CDNN has 40 cal mags for $1.99. no 45's available. Bought 2 just for the springs.
