Re: transfer of handgun to husband
I agree legal is legal. I just tend to be a little 'CYA' when telling people stuff over the internet. At home I rip the tags off my mattresses, stand on the top rung of the ladder to hang stuff, and mix pop rocks and cola.
After living a decade in Ohio I personally think PA is overly strict in how it handles handgun sales (Yeah, I understand the whole 'It's Philly's fault' reasoning.) I'd like to see Constitutional Carry & face-to-face sales, but when dealing w/ a first time poster I tend to be extra careful.
Plus, how often do you hear stories like, "I never knew I married a serial rapist." or 'He had another wife and family.' or 'He never told me he was arrested for marijuana possession.' Unless she knew him from birth (and not necessarily even then) and/or saw him buy guns at retail/FFL I'm going to be extra careful about what I tell a total stranger.
Bad phrasing, but pure intentions.

Re: transfer of handgun to husband
I grew up in NY and they are very strict, PA is a little less strict but again here I'm not in the city and there I was. I can understand being careful about what you tell people over the internet and maybe I shouldn't be so laxed a bout things but I too rip tags off mattress's and jump all over it....life is too short and I am not going to make myself crazy and try to do things in a somewhat legal fashion but not obsess over it,lol...got to live

I guess I was the only one bored enough and crazy enough to read the tag on the mattress :|
It says its illegal for anyone but the consumer to remove that tag......
In the army I decided to read the tag in the road guard vest I got stuck wearing. It read: Vest, Reflective MFG VA Lighthouse for the Blind
Govt issued Skillcraft pens box description: Pen, Ball Point Ink, Black MFG Virginia Lighthouse For the Blind.
no lie either onegotta love her ;)
