    Question STI - Elektra

Does anyone own an STI Elektra? I just saw one on TV and i've never seen it before, How good is the quality of STI pistols? Who are some similar manufacturers? Im usually not much for pink guns, but this one caught my eye. A lady has to look nice while carrying, of course. Thanks in advance!

The Elektra is a basic STI 2011. Do a search for those models and you'll find a lot more feedback.

I have an Edge and I love it.

STI is a producer of high end manufactured handguns... up there with Dan Wesson, Kimber, etc. Their reputation is excellent, customer service fantastic... they make good stuff.

As an owner of several STI & SVI's, Dan Wesson and Kimber's are definately not made to the same quality.

STI (Strayer Tripp International) manufactures set 2011 and 1911 models, SVI (Strayer Voight International) manufactures custom built 2011 and 1911's. SVI builds guns to the customer specifations. STI builds high end production guns.

    SVI: http://sviguns.com/

Both STI and SVI sells all of the indiviual components to have custom 2011 and 1911's built by gunsmiths. SVI and SVI parts are generaly compatiable with each other. I have a 2011 that has a STI frame and every thing else is SVI.

I have seen very poor quality Dan Wesson's, especially their early 1911's. Kimber's early guns were better built than their current guns.
