Default Looking for a good Gun Club

I have recently moved into Franklin county (near Shippensburg) from the upper Dauphin area and I am looking for a nice gun club/range to join that is pistol and rifle friendly. I was told by a co-worker to try Shooters Delight but after stopping for a visit, I was not very impressed. An outdoor range is fine but if they have indoor for pistol that would be better too. Archery for my 11 y/o daughter is also an important consideration as she is just starting to learn that.

    Any recommendations?

Shooters Range is in rough shape, but I believe is the only indoor range in the county. Lots of lanes are broken and pistol prices are high.....but they are a class 3 dealer if that matters to you.

@chuck - Thanks for taking the time to speak to me Sunday at the club. I downloaded an application from their website and have it completed, but I can not find anything that references the member vouching part you spoke of. Do they still require current members to vouch for new members or is it just open membership now?

Harrisburg Hunters & Anglers looks like a top notch facility (I am not a member, but have taken a couple classes there). They have an indoor handgun range to boot.

May be too far for you to drive on a regular basis.

i belong to Chambersburg Rod and Gun Club. They have a 50 yard outdoor pistol range, a 100 and 200 yard rifle range, and a 50 foot indoor .22 range. You can go to http://www.chambersburgrodandgun.com/ for more info.

Looks good. Wish I'd have known about it when I lived there..... back in the day! :-)
