    Default No Sound Gun Safes...

I currently have a drawer safe for handgun storage and its an electric keypad type that beeps while unlocking. Is there an inexpensive single handgun type of safe out there that does not make noise but needs no keys and is easy to open in the event of quick disceet access?? Unfortunately most of the ones i've looked at recently do not tell you if they beep or can disable the beeping noise.

That would be an annoying feature.

There's not a small piezo buzzer on the circuit board making the noise? Should be round and black with a hole on the top if there is one. You could probably desolder it from the board, then measure it's resistance and solder in a resistor of similar resistance.

I might have to take another look and try this before purchasing a new one. Thanks for the tip.

I don't think my Gunvault beeps when the buttons are pressed.

They aren't "walmart" inexpensive, but they aren't priced as high as they were when I bought mine either.

GunVaults do beep, but you can turn it off.

Heh. I rarely use it - bought it in case kids are ever here.
I was too lazy to go check but didn't recall any beeps.

    Ignore the tired moderator.

If you can take a picture of the circuit board, I can probably identify the noisy part for you.
