for LTCW how long does the back ground check take?

Hello all, I just dropped off my application for LCTW and I was told it would take anywhere between 45-50 days for the back ground check to come back does this sound right? it seems a little long

Took me about 2-3 weeks with the new system they have going.

To be fair, my fiance dropped hers off 10/26 or 10/27 or something, just got her approval letter yesterday. So that's about a month, exactly (with Holidays).

Delco isn't too bad, anymore. The lady is really friendly, the price is finally correct, they have extended hours, etc.

Per law:

You must receive approval or letter of denial within 45 days of application

45 Days, not 45 business days

Some people walk in and walk out with their LTCF in 15 mins
Some people have to wait a couple weeks, some people have to wait longer

Yeah, it's just 45 days, period. They've been good, though - and I haven't seen anyone actually wait more than about a month through Delco lately.

When not at school I'm right next door in Thornton. When I dropped off my application two months ago it took exactly one month to get my approval letter in the mail. Good luck.

In this age of computers....everyone should be getting it on the spot. No reason to take more than a few minutes...let alone a few weeks.

I agree with this, it shouldn't take that long if someone doesn't have anything to hide in there back ground search
