The wife and I each got a deer. Hers was not too bad. Mine was infested with them, worst I ever seen on a deer.

the warm weather last week spurred a hatch, just pulled 6 off of Ellie Mae. We use Advantix. They don't like me for some reason.

The dogs were covered with the little rascals after our Saturday small game hunt. I usually don't treat them after October so I had to run to Wal-Mart and pick up and treat them Saturday night. Everyone in camp had ticks on them this year.

Yes, the ticks are ridiculous this year. Walked in on opening day before dawn, an hour later when the sun came up I could see them crawling all over me. Made for a fidgety morning in the stand.

I've decided to treat my hunting clothes with Permethrin so this never happens again.

Every year the ticks are always bad during the small game season where I hunt. This year was one of the worst. I have a set of brush pants with a tick cuff that keep them from crawling up my legs. That and some bug repellent seems to make a big difference.
