Would you have done (colt defender)
It wasent my fault^^^^^^ Really!
I stopped in a local shop thinking that this would be the day I would find a Colt officers, enhanced/lightweight in stainless, And it was NOT there, But this Colt defender was, Almost the same thing, Close enough in my head and the price was killing me, So I had to get it, Would you have done the same thing?
Now I have got to get out to the range to give it a spin and see if I can make it my new carry gun!!!
Peter.

Re: Would you have done (colt defender)
I would have done it. I love 1911's, and I love my colts. The price seems a little high, but that is a colt for ya. Nice find, and good luck with it!

Re: Would you have done (colt defender)
Seems like a pretty good price to me. I was looking at them on gunbroker and most guys wanted around $800 for them in nice shape.

Re: Would you have done (colt defender)
YES!
I would have done the same. A local shop had one last year for $925 new. They sold it, too, although not to me. They had another at one time and sold that one for over $900, too. A little to pricey for my blood, so I dont go there anymore. I know of a New Agent for $850, and I keep thinking about it.

Re: Would you have done (colt defender)
I would have done it. For quite a while, I had planned to make a Defender my first handgun.
Instead, I'll have to settle for it being my first .45!
Nice find, congratulations.
