Default I have fallen in LOVE...

I thought I loved my 870 when I bought it bone stock (synthetic, 7 shot).

It was light, and short, and just a dream to handle...

HOWEVER, I have always liked Benelli m1 super 90's. The problem was #1 way too much money for me at the time... #2 the length of pull was way to long.

Today, my dreams came true when I installed a MESA Urbino stock on my 870. I chose the one with the riser for a better cheek wield. I shot 200 rounds of ammo (150 walmart remington low brass and 50 rounds of 00 buckshot). the stock has a 12.5" LOP vs the 14" stock LOP. I have never been so accurate and quick with a shotgun on a tactical course.

Now I have the feel of the m1s90 and the operating system of the 870 (which I am so much more familiar with).

way better than the spec-ops stock i tried before, and I personally like it more than any speed feed stocks i tried.

LOP has always been the deal breaker with me enjoying most shotguns, esp pistol gripped ones. Sufficed to say that looks nice and with the decreased LOP it may be what I've always been looking for. Wicked good!

I have an oldschool Choat stock on my 870 HD which is similar. I have smoked a lot of birds with that gun. Very short and comfortable. How much did yours set you back?

    Very Nice!

    What model is that 870?

Ive been patiently waiting for the opportunity to pick up a used police trade-in 870 Police Magnum.

That looks great, man! Mesa Tactical makes great stuff. I have one of their high tube stocks and a few sureshells. I used to have a Speedfeed stock (for about an hour) before I sent it back. Speedfeed stocks suck ass.

    thanks guys.

It is actually just a normal 870 synthetic with the factory extension (7+1 capacity).

I sold my mossberg 930spx after several problems with it feeding reliably (and 2 trips back to the factory) and started looking for an 870 police or wingmaster. Unfortunately, I couldn't find one after looking for 2 months, and I didn't like being without a HD shotgun, so I broke down and bought a normal 870. It wasn't a bad deal, and I just took it apart and cleaned up some of the edges that weren't smoothed over at the factory.

i'll post a range report with pics next time I get out to the range.

around 100-150 rounds and it is great...
