front sight blank, super redhawk?

I wish to remove the front sight from my redhawk. I was wondering if anyone knows of some place to get a blank to put in its place. I think the gun would have nicer lines if the sight was removed, but there would be an ugly spot where the sights goes unless you fill it with a blank. I have optics on my gun, and this is just something that popped into my head as i sit here bored to death cleaning my gun.

just picked up a red insert front sight for a gp100 from ruger parts. as cheap as it was why not pick up another one and grind off the blade so you just have the base.

not a bad idea, but they all appear to be black (blued), so i wonder how horrible they would look all ground off. Would be nice to have a stainless blank. Thanks for the idea tho

Google "Bowen Classic Arms" front sights. They sell blanks for Rugers.
