Beaver County,Pa. HK owner needs help.
I live in Beaver County and I was wondering if there is any fellow gun lover out and around this area that would be willing to show me how to install an LEM trigger on my H&K 45C pistol. Maybe someone out there that has done it before or is more familiar with guns. I can pay a gunsmith to do it but there is a wait right now with deer season and all. Besides, I wanted to watch and learn. Well if so, text me and we can meet. I would appreciate any help.

Re: Beaver County,Pa. HK owner needs help.
There are a couple of good links for doing this on HK Pro.com. Google "how to install an LEM trigger on an HK 45" and it will take you directly to the thread that has the links. You may already be a member of that forum.(???)
It is not difficult, at all. If you can detail strip a 1911, then you will have no trouble with this.BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Re: Beaver County,Pa. HK owner needs help.
If you have ever stripped a Sig Sauer down to parts, then the HK is about the same difficulty level. I installed my LEM kit about 6 months ago now. The good news is, there is only one way that everything can fit right, so you'll know right away whether you have an issue. Good luck, if you get stuck, post pics so the other HK-o-philes and I can try to help you through the install.

Looked around this morning on Youtube and saw nothing on doing this. Tons of other trigger installation stuff, but not this. Someone will do a video of it in the future, I'm sure.

I've never done an HK to LEM but I've converted 4 Sigs from DA/SA to DAK. Slow going the first time or two but it gets quicker and is really pretty easy. Definitely check Hk.pro, my parents are in town this weekend so I'm pretty busy but give me a shout if you need a hand.

Got it in, and thanks again for all the helpfull replies. Now its time to practice and get used to the change. From what I can tell, its simply now a double action only pistol with a light and consistent trigger pull every shot......correct?

Ok, got it in and the gun shoots fine. I just noticed that the hammer is slightly tilted to the left. Is that normal? Has anyone else that had this done had the hammer line up slightly to one side?

I recently did this and its very easy. When I get home I will look at the hammer.
ETA: OK my hammer is closer to the left side than it is to the right side of the slide/frame. It doesn't lean, but it is closer to the left.Last edited by CHEMICAL; December 18th, 2011 at 09:49 PM.
