Default Whats the weather going to be like on the buck opener?

Well boys it's that time of year when we get geeked up and do the whole thanksgiving thing, black friday quick shoot in the gun thing and then the pinnacle of it all Monday Morning. Well back to thread above. I was sitting at the computer on Fri. night waiting for the 10 day forecast to change over to the 10th day. By the way it doesn't change to the 10th day right away, but whatever. They were calling for rain for a couple of days but now it is going to be sunny with temps close to 60. I guess I will take that and enjoy, I will admit I like to hunt in the cold weather, but sometimes it is miserable.
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Rain for my area in Tioga - I love hunting in anything, snow, cold, wind, warm days, etc ... just not rain! Oh well I'll still tough it out.

My problem is where we hunt we need guys out to help move the deer, rain sets in, guys go home, deer lay down, I sit and watch rain.

Rain and high 40's here. I'd be ok with rain....I'd love snow. The ticks are terrible in the west this year. A warm day would be nasty where I hunt.

Actually, I've always noticed that the deer move a little bit more during a light rain. It makes moving around a whole lot quieter, too.

I just checked here. The forecast has changed. What started as cold and rainy now is showing 51 and partly sunny.

Not that I'm averse to sitting next to a tree on a nice warm day, but I like it to be a little bit cold. If it's too warm, I have a tendency to fall asleep.

I don't think the deer move quite as much when the weather is warmer and I KNOW that hunters don't move around as much when it is warmer (therefore the deer don't move around as much). There's no need to move to warm up.

I like rain, its not as good as snow but you can still hunt and not make a pile of noise. Only downfall is i'll be shooting for the front shoulder in the rain, wastes some meat but i don't have to track that way.

I'm stuck at work and won't get out locally until that Thursday for doe. I hunt 2nd week mostly and it's looking good for camp. High in the mid - low 30's with snow... now of course it's too far away to really know but I'm getting pumped.
