Re: CC at Gander Mountain
seeing your from Franklin Co., i'm assuming you were at the Gander by the mall(if thats what you wanna call it). I OC there all the time, they do have a sign at the front door stating if your bringing in a firearm for selling or repairs, please have it checked at counter. I haven't had any issues yet, now granted the wife works there and they know me, but have gone in with new employees and no issues.
I have used my own gun for fitment of holster and I have used theirs.

So you handed your loaded gun to the counter person?

Re: CC at Gander Mountain
Here's the sign. Do you really think they mean that the first part doesn't apply to anyone who is legally carrying? I think most reasonable people would take that to mean if you're carrying legally, you can carry in the store, but if you're bringing the gun in for another reason, to check in at the front. You could argue that their sign isn't clear, but that would be kind pf petty.

Re: CC at Gander Mountain
did you read my post? I dont want to be mean or anything, but read my post. I didnt hand a loaded gun to anyone. That would be just plain retarded.
And yes, i was at the one next to the mall (if you wanna call it that lol).
Like I said, i had no problems from the people, they were very nice to me. I just think they didnt know what to do when I told them I had my gun on me. The front desk people were very nice.
I was simply sharing my experience, and it was fine
Its an educational experience for everyone involved, as long as it ends nicely. I do think that gander moutain should train their people to know about such things, but oh well, no harm, no foul.Last edited by MicroMonkey; November 20th, 2011 at 06:03 PM.

No, I was talking about ray h. I think he should have unloaded his gun outside before handling it inside the store. And since he was thinking about getting a price for a trade-in, their sign is clear that he should have checked in at the front. Sorry, didn't mean to lump you in with him.
Those High Noon holsters look nice. Hope it works out for you!
