Cold weather Ammo
Just wondering how many out there change their self defense carry ammo now that the cold weather is upon us ? I just picked up some Cor Bon Power Ball now that heavy coats are being worn with layers of clothing. I usually carry Federal HST in my pistols. Do you think the HST would do the job or do you think changing ammo is a good idea.....?

Re: Cold weather Ammo
my .45 w/hollow points has no problem goin through phone books at 20 yards so i dont think im worried about a sweatshirt and a winter jacket. Unless the perp is wearing kevlar, i dont think you should worry

Re: Cold weather Ammo
You should select carry ammunition that will perform without regard to the clothing that is being worn. HST fits the bill. Pretty much all hollowpoint ammo designed for law enforcement will work fine through heavy clothing and a host of other intermediate barriers. That is what it is designed for and they are thoroughly tested to assure performance by the manufacturer and a host of independent agencies.

Nope, I use a round that is good all the time. Heaven forbid it is a cold summer day and I need to shoot someone wearing a few more layers and I have summer ammo.
