Is there anybody here that has attended one of the Bayfront Convention Center shows? Would it be worth the time/energy/money to attend?

If you are close to the show it might be an ok diversion on New Years Eve or Day. However there may not be much gain in driving too great a distance for this as the show will be small and I'm guessing not well attended dealer wise due to being a holiday weekend. I did the first show they had there and I was one of 6-8 actual firearms dealers at the show. The last one was about the same from what I heard. There were lots of good surplus and ammo dealers there however (Old Sarge's and J&C being two of them) Not sure who all is going to be there dealer wise this time around for the afore mentioned reason. If you do go, prepare yourself to run the gauntlet of tin can holding charity beggers of all sorts scattered among the retail vendors. (I'm all for giving to good causes but I'm sceptical of where the cash goes when I've never heard of the organization nor do I know the solicitor)

^What he said.^ I went to the last one, a month or two ago, and thought it was decent for Erie. Some have said they're sort of hit & miss, sometimes good sometimes not so much.
You're probably not going to find any real great deals, but should be able to find lots of interesting stuff.
Erie paper had a $1 off coupon.

Thanks for the information guys. I may end up wandering down there as it's only a few miles from the house. I wonder if the attendance will be hindered by the dates. I would think that there would be plenty of folks that are off work and looking for something to do.

I have heard mixed reviews of the past shows. I don't know if I will be able to attend this one. However I am looking for an Ar15 lower receiver anyone know if I would have any luck finding one at the show?
