Default XM855 Green tip "not for duty use"

Picked up a can of Federal XM855 over the weekend and notice the big "not for duty use" label on the can.

Ive read that ammo under that label was rejected by the military for minor issues but its still ok for regular range use etc?

    Is that correct?

Anyone ever have issues with the "not for duty use" Xm855 before?

    Thanks!

I cant offer a cite or firm intel but that's what I've seen stated at ARFCOM and a few other sites.
Have shot a good amount of it without issue.
