Default State Forest (sorry just want to be sure)

I am a NJ resident staying in PA in the process of making a permanent move to PA once here I will get a PA ltcf..
I carry in PA on a FL CCW license which PA does honor..

I am going to a state park (not national park if relevant) to hike tomorrow and would like to just bring my handgun "in case"

I would prefer to open carry it since it is an easier rig..
but could conceal carry if needed..

can I legally carry and is it relevant if it is open or concealed..

    thanks..

First welcome to the free world! With a LTCF you can carry in a state park. I don't see why you couldn't with a Florida CCW.

State Forests have the same rules as the rest of the state. State Parks, for now, require a license and you need to conceal. A new law was passed that by wording changes state parks to follow same rules as the rest of PA, but there is a dispute about that.
