Couple questions as I research
I sent in my paperwork as an individual. Would I need to pay for another stamp to transfer it to a trust if I set one up?
I'm pending since August so I have some time I suppose but, since I'm single and don't have family in PA, I'm not certain it would be beneficial. My son lives in NJ so that's out but my sister is in FL and might be a possibility.
Is there any reason I have to wait to send the lower out for engraving? I guess my only concern would be if they say I have to engrave something different...
Thanks!

First, if everything is as you describe, I see little to no benefit to initiating a SECOND transfer to move it from you to the trust.
As for engraving, this is something that you should ideally do *before* you get the stamp back; I'm assuming of course, that we're talking about an SBR, and if that's the case, until you get the stamp back the rifle is a rifle (non NFA) and once you get the stamp back, it's an SBR, and thus subject to NFA rules.
Having it engraved with your info NOW rather than later is beneficial.

Re: Couple questions as I research
Thank you, that helps. I guess my thought was that if there was an issue with me personally I would need to give someone the combo to my safe. I imagine that an executor would meet the ATF requirements, I'll have to check.
I'm sorry, we are talking about a SBR, I hadn't thought about it those terms so I'll start making arrangements to get it shipped.
Thanks again

Any transfer costs $200, to you, your trust or your dog...
