A few weeks old with antlers like that? I feel sorry for their mother.
Let's not forget there are still species of tropical penguins living in the Galapagos.

Re: Trail camera pictures
I just set out 3 cameras for the post hunting season. Hopefully next week I will have some new pics for 2016. I think it is a good time to put out some cameras and take a nice walk to swap SD cards every weekend until the bugs arrive.

Re: Trail camera pictures
I'm going to make some security boxes for my cams after the 3 I had were stolen. I had python cables and light chains with locks as secondary security.
A couple kids with bolt cutters got them.
I have 2 pieces of schedule 6" galvanized pipe each 12" long.
I'm going to slice a pie out of them and reverse the cut pieces and weld them in so the curvature conforms to the tree.
I got some 1/2" thick grade 120 square link chain to secure the "box" to a tree.
The lock will be up inside the pipe with no visible portion to see.
I'm not sure of final design yet but am considering a piece of 5" pipe to slide up inside as a cartridge to contain the cam.
It will be heavy. The chain is harder than most bolt cutters.
I'll take pictures of ongoing fabrication.
I considered welding a piece of 20" sq by 1/2" thick plate just to make it difficult at best to even carry. We'll see.
Cameras will cost 150 or so. Labor and material for each box will be about 300 to 400.
I'm retired.Opinions are like anal apertures. They all stink but mine.

Re: Trail camera pictures
I would check your local scrap yard and try to source as much of the material for scrap prices as possible. I don't think any scrap yard would turn down $0.10/lb for heavy steel right now, they aren't getting that shipping it to the mills. I'm sure you are aware of this, but be careful welding galvanized steel- the fumes are toxic

Re: Trail camera pictures
Yes sir. Well aware of welding gal. The carpenters at Consol Energy Center gave me some leftover 1/2" steel plate.
Our school welding dept supplied the 3/8" plate" and the fab shop of my old employer got me the 5 & 6".
The $25 dollar security boxes can keep honest people honest but the kids involved had a history of theft. Even though i had their pics and eventually found out one kids name, the cops didnt even question him because i had no pics of them stealing the cams.
Even the parents were involved somehow when that kid got arrested for breaking into cars.
