Default 30-06 Low Recoil target rounds

What is a good low recoil round for a 30-06? I hope to take a young man out to the range and that is the only deer gun I have. Any Advice? Would 12 gauge slugs be any better? Just want to get him comfortable then use the big stuff for 1st day- thanks-

Remington makes a low recoil ammo, which they call Managed Recoil. It works well and has about 1/2 the felt recoil of standard ammo. Hornady makes a lite load and Federal makes fusion lites. I find the remington managed recoil ammo, excellent for siteing in and practice.
