    Default Anybody reload .357 Sig?

The Title pretty much says it all. If you do reload .357 Sig, what powders? Charge weights? Seating Depth? Bullets? Velocity? Cases? Primers?

Explain your process. Which dies do you use? In what sequence? What model gun are you loading for?

I'd like to know all I can about reloading this round before I actually try it.

I reloaded about a 1000 rounds about 6 months sgo.
    124 grain berry platted hps
    cci small pistol primers
    8.5 grains Longshot
I bought 1000 once fired speer nickel cases found them on line for less than 40 dollars.(I will look for the website and post it for you)
I used a 40 S&w carbite sizer than a 357 sig sizer (no lube needed)
After seated bullet used a 40 lee fact crimp die than 357 sig fact crimp die to crimp neck.
Took a long time but after you get the hang of it it goes quick.Just have to make sure your bullet stays put in the case
    good luck

Do a search on this website for this subject.
It was covered in great detail with MAX384 a major contributor.

I just started to do this caliber a week ago and ran into problems. The Montana Gold 9mm 124gr I thought would work, but I was getting bullet setback and had to order special 125gr Sig bullets.

I have come across a bunch of people using Accurate Arms AA #9 powder because it fills the case really well and supports the bullet pretty much. Prior to this info, I had acquired LongShot powder.
    OAL 1.135 125gr FMJ 6.6 Unique = 1157 fps or 7.3 Unique = 1227
    or 7.7 Longshot = 1228 or 8.5 Longshot =1343 or 10.0 AA#7 = 1271 or
11.5 AA#7 1389 or 6.4 VV N340 or 7.2 VV N340. I didn't have AA#9 powder on hand so I didn't save the info. Start with the lower figures before thinking about moving up in grains. This info is from the Lyman manual.

I just looked up AA#9 from Accurate's published info. For a Sierra FMJ 125gr bullet, calling for a length of 1.14", 11.7 gr = 1220 fps all the way up to 13.0 gr =1387 fps. 13 grains would be max max case pressure. I would think you could do anything from 11.0 - 12.0 grains safely and would shoot nicely.

I am loading for a Glock 33 sub-c. I'm using a Dillon 550B machine with Dillon 357 sig die set. I would not encourage you to load this round without any other loading experience as it is not as easy or fun.
