1000 yard ranges?

anyone know of any in the Commonwealth. Just got out of the army and since i'm going through shooting withdraw because i cant go to the range as much as I like to, my goal is to put together a rifle build this winter.

Anyone know of any 1000 yard ranges in PA?? or even 500 yards?

Mifflin County Sportsmen's Association has a 1000 yard rifle range. They also have pistol, archery and shotgun facilities as well as land open for members to hunt.

Years ago there used to be one at Wellsboro PA. Don't know if it is still there or not. Marcellus may have run over t. Shame if it did.

About 15-20 minutes north of Williamsport there is a 1000 yard range/club.

Only $35 a year to be a member.

Very nice club house.

Check the site out and you will find people come from all over the country to shoot here.

Many keep campers right on site (all year round I believe) so they have a place to stay right there.

They appear to welcome anybody there.

We took a motorcycle ride up one day when they were just finishing up for and got a chance to talk to some of the members.

I shoot the Ikes a couple times a week. Serves my purpose now. Several years ago I had a friend who owned potatoe fields and we could get 1000 to 1200. Havent shot it since he sold the farm and moved to Montana.Don't know of anyplace offhand.
