Default 1911 ambi thumb safeties in matte blue?

I bought a beautiful used Sig Sauer 1911 this past weekend in the black nitron finish. Only issue is that i'm a lefty and I need an ambi safety for it. No problem, right? Ordered a Wilson ambi safety from Brownell's and the blue finish is high gloss and will look like hell against the matte finish of the Sig. Needless to say i'm going to return it.

Does anyone know of any replacement ambi 1911 safeties that have a matte black/matte blued finish? None of the descriptions at the retailers seem to specify if their safeties have a matte or gloss finish.

If you don't get any answers from people here that know for sure, you should just call companies before you keep buying and hoping its matte

Well shit. That's stainless only. Anyway, I'd email them and see if they make or suggest a proper part.

I'd be calling Taurus. They have that safety figured out pretty well and it will fit the Sig without any other fitting. It is the match you are looking for, as well.

Don't sweat Taurus, they ship tons of parts to other 1911 makers.

Is it a parkerized finish? That would not be in the high gloss and you can find them or have one done for it.

You can also contact Sig Customer Service and see if they will coat the safety that you just purchased to match the gun. I feel your pain as a lefty. I have the same problem. My Wesson as a non-matching Wilson Safety but I just don't even notice it anymore. I just live with it.
