Default Gunsmith in the Allentown area

Can anyone recommend a gunsmith in the Allentown area who can replace the orange plastic insert in the front sight of my Smith & Wesson Model 66?

Evolution gun works (EGW) is right down in Quakertown and they are pistol specialists.

if EGW is busy, and its ramping up for off season work for the IPSC folks, try John Robinson down at Lowes Certified Guns he does a lot of stuff for me in the past, and is about 4 miles south of EGW.
He can probably fix this faster

I took mine to a guy named The Handgunner. He screwed up drilling my receiver to put a scope on. The holes weren't straight and he tried telling me my barrel was bent so that's why he couldn't get the scope zeroed.

So......I'm guessing thats a NO vote for the "Handgunner".
    Details on location to avoid?

should change the biz name to 'The Hamfisted"?

when i got it back, the frame was scratched and the safty was loose.
Got a "no" vote from me. Go to EGW.....

Wow. I've read your story more than once about Handgunner. I've had Randy, not his helpers, do some smith work for me with excellent results. One was an old, oddball pistol that I had to three other "gunsmiths" that could not fix it. He got it running great.

IIRC Randy was/is doing all of Doug Koenig's custom work. Sorry you had a bad experience.
