Default Need someone to re-blue my Colt 1903

    Hello!

I have a Colt 1903 in .32ACP that needs re-bluing. The finish is worn away on the one side, and I'd really like this gun to look nice. It belonged to my father, and having it restored would mean a lot to me. I don't care if it makes the gun less valuable, I just want it to look nice again. I'll pay within reason, I'll also pay for the supplies etc. Thanks!

they are a nice piece made when quality and function was important. be sure to send it to somebody who will do it right. even if you pay a premium a job well done is worth it. check references it would be a shame to loose markings or get sharp edges rounded over to aggressive polishing. good luck they make a fine shooter. btw check moyers in carlisle he had a decent rep but was a little slow due to being busy.

While I don't care for the way they plug holes in Winchesters and then case harden them calling it a restoration, I have seen two handguns they have done and it was fine work.

They will re-blue it using the proper bluing method that the factory used.

Cost is not too bad, and shipping is not a big deal either.

I have the same gun and was looking to do the same thing for the same reasons! I called Colt a while ago and they told me that they would not repair or restore that firearm but refered me to someone that they highly recomended. I cant remember who for the life of me but I will call them again at 9 when they open as this thread has my wheels spinning again!
