Would you buy a PAFOA shirt at the group shoots?
Ok for those people that attend the group shoots, just trying to gauge interest. The potential exsists to have the PAFOA shirts made and sold exclusively at the group shoots. All profit would go toward the PAFOA, you pay the money, you get handed a shirt, no shipping, no web orders. At the moment we are talking about the black shirts, white ink front chest logo and white ink large back logo.

Well, group shoots are a bit far for me at the moment, but I'd be interested in a shirt anyhow...

Re: Would you buy a PAFOA shirt at the group shoots?
I would. But if someone is trying to sell many of them, they need to be shipped. Shipping wouldn't be that big of a hassle. If I may, here's a proposal:
Take online orders that must be paid in advance if they are to be shipped. Host a group shoot where members volunteer to pack shirts and lable for shipping during/after the shoot. If all of the lables are pre-printed, this won't be too much work for a dozen people with the right tools.
Determine average shipping based on forcasted ship-to destinations (increase by a safety factor for more expensive shipping - anything extra due to the safety factor also goes into the PAFOA coffer). I'd only allow a single shipping option to simply the whole project and billing, btw. Something like UPS ground or the cheapest USPS parcel rate.
If you're up front with your customers about lead times, you'll have a pretty accurate order and little left over - coordinate this with the printing company. Then order a slight amount of excess. Excess might come from filling out even dozens on sizes, depending on the printing company's policies.
If you're willing to complicate this at all, allow for different colored ink for the logos. This will be the easiest option to allow both for the volunteers doing the packing and the printer.
Just some ideas... What do ya think?
((((have I done this before?))))

Re: Would you buy a PAFOA shirt at the group shoots?
Here's an idea for a marketing slogan... if you want a shirt, get your ass out to one of the Group Shoots!
Montanya, have you considered that some people have no idea what you are talking about?(Group shoots? What's that?)
You may wish to be more specific in your OP regarding the fact that you need to be AT the shoot to get a shirt(at least that's the way I read it)or you will have seriously skewed results in your survey and you'll end up with 29 people saying I want one, BUT...
(I know you said it, but I'm betting that message got lost after folks saw the title of this thread.)
Anyway, Yes, I would buy one if they are made available.
I only have the "limited edition" Group Shoot #6 T-shirt... never got a chance to buy one before the store closed.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!
