Wilkes-Barre shooting
Golfers spot a man walking down the street carrying a gun. They call police and report a man with a gun. Police arrive and a shoot out occurs. Apparently, the police arrived and saw the gun, so they ordered him to drop the gun and lie face down on the ground. The shoot out happened when the man refused to obey the police. Can and do police always act that way when responding to a mwg report? If so, what does the OCer do? Should I comply and drop my gun and lie face down? I'm really upset over this. No one seems to know why this guy was carrying or what he was going to do. It appears his simply carrying the gun gave the police the power to stop him. Am I wrong or does something smell fishy here?

Re: Wilkes-Barre shooting
Sounds to me like he was carrying in his had and raised it to shoot. No mention of drawing just raised it to shoot. I think if this was the case then the leo's were right to stop him and order him to drop it. Again , no leave it alone or don't touch it, but drop it. He must have had a plan.... wonder how that worked for him.

Reliable witness says BG (another revolving-door type) actually ran away while firing at the PD.

Maybe Jeff Cooper were on to something when he remarked that " a Golf course is a perfectly total waste of a good shooting range"

Re: Wilkes-Barre shooting
Looks like the the MWG had a replica pistol...........
Also, it appears as though there may be some MH issues here.
The real question on my mind is why did 3-4 shots from a 40 and/or 45gap not do their job? Rumor was that W-B police were switching from 40 to 45gap soon. Can you say practice? With great power comes great responsibility....
