Sorry to disappoint you but I believe there is no open season on Rudolph or any of his 8 reindeer friends that pull Santa's sleigh. You can shoot any other deer you see but if there's a bright shiny red nose or it's actually flying then it's illegal to shoot.

A red nosed reindeer. Would be one hell of a trophy.

Wait.. I didn't read you could not shoot flying deer in the regs.
I only read caliber restrictions, antler restrictions, and season restrictions, and bag limit.. nothing about flying or deer with glowing noses.
Wait I forgot to tell you I was going hunting on the island of misfit toys... they are legal there... I am just worried about the bumble...

The Yukon guy seems a little queer to me.
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Re: Oh Yea!! Look Out Rudolph! Here comes the 06....
Thanks.
This rifle is something my father used when he hunted. He gave it to me a few years back. It has a lot of value to me. I enjoy shooting it, but also do not want to ruin it.
I will be getting a "work horse" synthetic stock etc.. 7MM Rem mag for in-climate and long range shooting. (out west hunts).
I will use the 06 for nice weather hunting. It is an old, well kept, but used gun.
